Introduction

You have to believe you are put on earth for a reason, fulfillment won’t come from outside, no one is coming to save you.

The mind tries to filter out pain, fear and insecurities

You are in danger of living a life so sheltered and soft that you’ll never unlock your true potential

Don’t stop when you’re tired, stop when you’re done

This won’t make you feel better, this will make you better

Denial is comforting

Motivation is temporary, it changes nobody

When you take your first breath, you become eligible to die

Chapter 1: I should have been a statistic

Glossy surfaces reflect much more than they reveal

She’s the reason why I’ll never trust a smile or judge a scowl

Find power in the negative things in your life, turn trials into triumph

Either you’re getting better or you’re getting worse

Chapter 2: truth hurts

The only way to change is to be honest with ourselves. If we seek shelter in comforting lies we are destined to stay the same

When you have no confidence, it’s easy to value other peoples opinions

Own the messed up parts of yourself, tough self love, give yourself thicker skin

We all have two voices in our heads, one telling us to take the path of least resistance and the other urging us to get better. Listen to the latter.
