Writing online isn't about being famous or having a lot of followers. It is about adding to the flame of enthusiasm you have. People live weird two-faced lives where they are really interested about ideas that they explore in their own time online and then mask that when they go out into the public world. Writing online gives people a chance to find people who further that curiosity rather than suppressing it.
