Welcome unpleasant feelings. Don’t fight them. Tell them they are welcome in your body. Ask them why they’re there. What are they trying to tell you?

My whole life I’ve been taught that anxiety is something to fix. Something that shouldn’t be there. That has created tension.

Society has told men that it’s not okay to be vulnerable. This applies pressure to feel good. It makes us not want to feel unpleasant things.
