Introduction

Success only stems from one thing — the compound effect

There are no new fundamentals — you can’t manufacture antiques

Success is not doing 5,000 things well it is doing 6 things well 5,000 times

We don’t need more information we need a new plan

Chapter 1: the compound effect in action

Hardworking can overcome lack of talent, knowledge, and skill

Small smart choices + consistency + time = radical differences

The compound effect works in both directions magnifying both good and bad habits

Radical change does not require radical action — it requires small consistent actions

Nothing fails like success — complacency is the killer

The frog in the boiling water that doesn’t jump because the water feels warm and comforting

Knowledge is not power It is potential power

Chapter 2: choices

Choices are at the root of every habit that accumulate to become your results.

You make your choices and then your choices make you

Elephants don’t bite, mosquitoes do — it’s the seemingly insignificant decisions that take you off course and work against you

Write down three things that happen each day that you are grateful for. You will eventually look for things to be thankful for and become a grateful person. Give this appreciation to others.
